  • Will this MuscleMag Forum be supported fully or will it be neglected like the original forum?

As a former subscriber (this was my first issue of Muscle Mag:

image August 1977), I was very disappointed in the way the old forum was set adrift by photo editor Jeff Maltby. He may not be the person with sole responsibility, but he certainly didn't help matters when it came down to fulfilling simple requests by forum members.

Wishing the new forum great success. Rx Muscle, Muscular Development, and IronMagazine offer examples of boards that have huge communities. MD -- like MMI -- is a magazine and offers additional advertising for their clients as well as great content for the fans and Pros alike.

Robert Kennedy's MuscleMag International is a great magazine and deserves a quality forum to showcase its content and to build readership.

  • Ah, Good 'ol Curt up to his old shenanigans. I HAD to post a comment to this ridiculous thread you created sir. I see you are still harboring come old completely insane resentment and it would be unfair of me to not come in and maybe finally give you some closure to this considering it's what? like 17 years later? Well, see Curt, some of us actually have work to do, which I'm taking a quick second from mine to give you the courtesy of a response. What you never and apparently still to this day do not understand is it was NEVER my job to work on the forum, it was something done in spare time, and as work got more involved, there was less time for the forum and what you call "members simple requests." I put A LOT of work in on that forum and I'm quite insulted by your lack of respect and recognition for what I DID do. Maybe you are angry that when I became too busy for it and I left, it died? I don't know...either way, you need to let it go dude. I made that forum as popular as it was and was soley responsible for the athletes you guys had to talk to back then, etc. So perhaps instead of coming in here and posting these lies about me ruining the forum, which I absolutely did not, you should be a little more appreciative and worry more about making the new forum a busy, productive place. Hey Curt, thanks for the message and for remembering me after all this time! Good on ya chief!

Oh and one more thing, feel free to post whatever inane anger fueled diatribe you wish, I will definitely not be checking it after this. Thanks brother.
  • image <--- lulz More "Memory Lane" for you.

    And whatever, Jeff.

You could have made a few simple changes and maybe the last of the original forum members might have stuck around. You're FOS if you believe you didn't do the original forum a disservice.

And I notice that there are currently two members online.

    Musclemag Forum... good luck.
  • Well, I'm glad I was not around to even be aware of whatever occurred in the past on here. This site relaunch is a great opportunity to do it right. Hopefully it will grow to become a great destination forum. I'm very impressed with the articles from the writers that Jeb has recruited (and pleased to be included among them). I'm hoping to see this forum build up gradually like a downhill rolling snowball.
  • Just recently re-subscribed to the print magazine. There's no mention of the new message board. How would you build the board? Because it's not happening.
