I didn't read the intire post. Like others I could barelly get the flavored stuff down, no matter the flavor. But I use SupplementDirect neutral flavored whey protein. IMO it tastes better than all the other ones I've tried, I just mix it with either choc.milk or orange juice. Who else makes neutral flavored protien?

DAMN, FOR ALL U GUYS TRYING TO SIZE UP...EFFORTS SHOULD BE TAKEN AT ALL TIMES, WE KEEP ON TALKING WHAT TASTED BAD, BUT DESIGNER IS ALL U SEEM TO HAVE TALKED ABOUT. ITS SORT OF EASY TO REACH A HIGH MUSCLE MEMORY (HIGHEST POINT WEIGHTED) BUT TO MAINTAIN IS A BIG CHALLENGE...TAKING ON THAT MONEY, TIME, EFFORT, AND BAD TASTIMG MEAL REPLACEMENTS. AND FOR THE GUY THAT SAID STORE ONE OR TWO PROTEIN SHAKES ALREADY MADE FOR ONE OR TWO DAYS...WHEN MAKING A SHAKE PROTEIN SOLVENTS ARE BEING DISSOLVED AS SOON AS IT HITS THE BLADES OF THE BLENDER, MEANING THAT A SHAKE JUST MADE WILL LOSE THE PROTEIN VALUE AS STORED, IN FACT IT MAY LOSE ALL IT'S GRAM VALUE WITH IN AN HOUR. SAME THING AS SQUEEZING AN ORANGE TO DRINK IT RIGHT AWAY..IF THAT ORANGE JUICE IS NOT DRINKED RIGHT AWAY THEN IT WILL LOSE ALL THE VITAMIN C VALUE AS FAST AS TEN MINUTES.

I use Simply Whey by EAS. I prefer their chocolate flavor. Then mix it up in a shaker jug by hand... no blenders. Then again, its hard to judge the effectiveness on my part. I train on and off because of travelling and use the protien drink like a daily bev.
Btw, I tried Designer once (vanilla) and I have to agree with some of the guys here (not too good taste wise).

Ultramet -- 41g of protein and tastes pretty good.

I mix in a scoop of NitroTech for the extra whey protein.
Sometimes I'll mix a scoop of CellTech instead.
I always add 5g of Glutamine.

Do I believe in MuscleTech products? Sorta, but $80 for a bin of Nitro? I paid $70 for mine, and I'm in Alaska (higher COL).

Of course, these drinks are merely SUPPLEMENTS. The real protein comes from the TUNA, and the CHICKEN, and the TURKEY and the EGGS.

Don't forget vitamins/minerals, excellent rest, and proper training. Otherwise, doesn't matter what Protein you're taking; your results may suffer.

I've recently tried Designer's "Glycerlean" malted muscles flavor and it's not bad. I mix it with skim milk and tastes like a combination of designer vanilla with whoppers candies. Not that bad at all.

I'm using Whey Fit Concentrate, I got it from ************ (not sure where else it may be). $29 for a 5 pound container, 67 servings of 25g Protein per serving. Chocolate and Vanilla both taste great IMO.

The worst proteins I have had were soy based, although I think those fell out of popularity due to poor BV, nothing tastes worse than that stuff IMO, even codliver oil.

BTW, I think both of them taste great, bananna tastes even better but I have it just with milk (0% fat) or water.

protein

I've tried several different proteins and Optimum Nutrition 100% whey is, so far, the best. I prefer chocolate. I've also found that with most protein powders that adding a banana greatly improves the taste and sweetens it up a bit. I mix my drink everyday with vanilla flavored Silk soy milk and a banana. (That little addition of soy milk is great for us girls.) As mentioned by another post you can get a 5 lb tub for under 30 bucks. The best price and taste.

Protein

Tried Designer French Vanilla and it was so bad I thought it was mislabeled for Regular (natural flavor). I took it back to the store they gave me my money back. The stuff has an unconditional guarantee, so somebody has to honor it. The best tasting I have found is Labrada PRO-V60 and EAS Simply Protein. I use the vanilla flavors mostly because they are good as a shake & mix well with certain low sugar cereals. The companies also appear to be well respected in the supplement industry.

I must agree..since Designer changed it's formula a couple years back it tastes terrible. Add the together with the fact that it's totally whey and you get a protein that ain't worth sh*t.
I use mostly Labrada (low carb lean body, Pro V60) or Muscle-Link (Muacle Meals, ProFusion)proteins they are great low-carb complete proteins that taste awesome. HDT Pro Blend 55 is also one I'll mix in now and then.

Last protein I tried was Ameriacan Mass, in a tube of 5lbs. The tast, I think it was double chocolate, was veryyyyy nice. I even considered using it in a cake instead of regular cocoa... Very nice and smooth, even in water the taste was fine...just my added bit of experience... To discount chic: I'm trying to get hold of some prices for the optimum nutrition bag, WHEY 10LBS. with the 160 servings, do fitsavers carry it...thanx

designer does bite the big one, in taste, anyway. but don't waste it, get your fav flavor of fat free jello instant pudding and mix 2 tbs. or so with it. it'll make the taste a lot more bearable. i think myoplex van. is all that!

As far as my experience goes...the best tasting protein I have come across is Precision Whey by EAS, I've gotten decent results with that one. The best value is Precision Whey by Protaquest, all cross-flow ultra-filtered whey, 5lbs for $25.50...80 servings per bag, mixes pretty easy tastes not too bad. Best overall protein is Nytowhey by Prosource, great taste, great results and can get four 2.2lb containers for $79.00.

Whey is only good for pre/post workouts though, so its use is limited.

I've been using HDT (Human Development Technologies) 5 + 1 pound chocolate whey protein. I really dont mind the taste of it. I mix 2 scoups of it with milk and blend it together. I have also tried it with water and it still tastes fine. I was wondering if anyone else has been using this whey protein or if anyone has any info regarding how effective this protein is.

I've tried many protiens and can't find something that I like..most recent Interactive has a soy protein in vanilla -gross.....Designer, chocolate is ok, but strawberry & vanilla isn't so great tasting...There's some juice type drinks from isopure, those are pretty good but like $6 a bottle.

I tried enough proteins to know- Designer Whey absberry is the best one. It digest quickly and doesn't leave you feeling bloated. Great for staying cut in the summer. NOW- if you're thinking about getting bigger, you cannot do better than Labrada PRO-V60! The stuff taste too good, I have been wanting to get a batch of it tested. Hard to believe this is a protein powder. I mix the chocolate with water and ice PERIOD. AND IT IS FANTASTIC. Another good one is Met-rx Pro 50 (maybe 60 now) Double Chocolate Fudge something- THICK as hell when you mix it, more like a ice cream serving 360 calories with 60 grams of protein, great if you can handle it.
